MAYNARD TROYER CLASSIC VI PRESENTED BY F/A PRODUCTS AND PLANTER BOX DIRECT TO HOST STAR-STUDDED FIELD
— The Biggest Event of the Year at Spencer Speedway Features More Prizes and Awards Than Ever Before —
Williamson, N.Y. – (August 18, 2025) – The Maynard Troyer Classic VI, presented by F/A Products and Planter Box Direct, will take center stage at Spencer Speedway on Friday, August 29. Widely recognized as one of the premier events on the Race of Champions Modified Series schedule, the Classic annually brings together the region’s best asphalt Modified competitors for a night of high-stakes racing.
Last year’s winner Ron Silk of Norwalk, Conn. returns to defend his title in the famed #16 machine. He’ll be joined by fellow defending event champions Matt Hirschman of Northampton, Pa., the current Race of Champions Modified Series point leader, and Mike Leaty of Williamson, N.Y., one of the all-time greats at his home track, Spencer Speedway.
“It’s a tough race to win,” said Leaty. “We were able to do it, but it’s one of the most competitive nights of the year. We’re looking forward to it. We appreciate everything Kenny Troyer, all of the sponsors and the Series does.”
“It’s a night where you have to go from the drop of the trailer gate,” added Hirschman. “It’s a hard race because you don’t have time to adjust. You’ve got to be right. We’ll be there and we’ll be ready. It’s circled on our calendar.”
The roster of talent doesn’t end there. Competitors such as Austin Beers (Northampton, Pa.), Jack Ely (Northampton, Pa.), Patrick Emerling (Orchard Park, N.Y.), and Jake Lutz (Hamburg, N.Y.) are among those expected to contend, making this year’s Maynard Troyer Classic “One Hot Night” at Spencer Speedway.
