CHEMUNG SPEEDROME HOBBY STOCKS ADDED TO RACE OF CHAMPIONS WEEKEND AT LAKE ERIE SPEEDWAY
The Chemung Speedrome Hobby Stocks will be part of the action during Race of Champions Weekend, September 12–14, 2025, at Lake Erie Speedway in North East, Pa., adding even more excitement to one of the biggest weekends in short track racing.
The Chemung (N.Y.) Speedrome Hobby Stocks have quickly established themselves as a competitive and entertaining division, providing an entry-level opportunity for racers in the Southern Tier region. After requests from competitors and discussions with Chemung Speedrome promoter Ray Hodge, the decision was made to include the division in the prestigious Lake Erie event.
“The Hobby Stocks have been a great addition to our program at Chemung,” stated Hodge. “We are looking forward to them having an opportunity to compete at Lake Erie Speedway, a track that will suit the division well. It should be a great addition to the event.”
The Hobby Stocks will race for $400-to-win and $125-to-start. All cars must follow the Chemung Speedrome Hobby Stock Rules, which can be found at: 2024 HOBBY STOCK RULES - chemung-speedrome.com/post/_docs/Rules_HobbyStock.pdf. Engines must also be sealed by Chemung Speedrome inspectors in accordance with the track’s engine sealing program.
This year’s Race of Champions Weekend is shaping up to be a true celebration of the sport. All seven divisions in the Race of Champions Family of Series will compete, with several divisions making up rainouts from earlier this season. The WNY Mighty TQ Midgets will also join the program.
“This is the biggest weekend we’ve ever had for the Race of Champions at Lake Erie Speedway,” stated Race of Champions management. “It’s the kind of event that brings everyone together—drivers, teams, and fans—for a celebration of racing history and tradition.”
